I am Marie-Claude Asselin, a Multidisciplinary Canadian Artist bases in Ottawa. Know online as merryclaude and my artist signature, MCA.
I’m not only a visual artist, I’m self-taught and intuitive, with no medium barrier, I create expressive works with whatever I have on hand.

Professionally, I hold a professional diploma in pastry, administration, management, and business entrepreneurship. These valuable skills allow me to run my own studio.
As an entrepreneur, I invented an all-in-one braided dog leash, usable hands-free or traditionally, for one or more dogs. A little marvel that proved incredibly useful for 12 years with my two dogs and their three-hour daily walks. I sold this leash on Etsy for several years, making many happy and loyal customers!
I worked as graphic designer, on two origami books (Drawing Origami, Volumes 1 & 2). I also undertook freelance projects such as website design.
I homeschool my children, a wonderful challenge that has certainly taught me as much as it has taught them.
On the literary side, I have illustrated and created a few books and am working on writing a new one.
