Escamole & Ants Sushi

The subject of this drawing is Entomophagy… sensitive stomachs abstain!

Entomophagy is the art of eating insects! Still with me?

Escamole and Ants Sushi is a artwork composed of Maki Sushi: A generous portion of rice surrounded by nori, covered with cucumbers, escamole and ants.

The escamole is the Mexican caviar, made up of black ant larvae (can also be made up of pupea, which is not the case here). These ants are called Black Liometopum Ants, these big ants are venomous! Harvested only once a year, this caviar is very expensive! Enjoy while there are!
