I am Marie-Claude Asselin, a Multidisciplinary Canadian Artist based in Ottawa. My work is defined not by categories, but by an evolving exploration of form and function under the signature MCA.

About Me / My Approach & Philosophy

My approach is guided by intuition and rigor. Trained in administration and management, I have developed a keen sense for artistic entrepreneurship, allowing me to maintain unequal standards of excellence on the current market.

No Borders, No Mold.
Self-taught but shaped by intensive practice, I do not stop at any medium. Painting, textile, sculpture, origami or design: each medium is a gateway to emotion and matter. Quality isn’t just a consideration – it’s the heart of my creative process.

Achievements & Experience

I have received artistic awards on 12 occasions, a recognition that validates my unique vision.
My journey includes over 10 years creating and developing recognized artisan products (such as my revolutionary dog leash). This experience taught me to understand the client, manage a studio, and transform craftsmanship into lasting artistic value. Today, MCA focuses on the creation of unique, evolving, and extraordinary works of art.
